Kanchenjunga Trekking

Kanchenjunga (8,586m) is the Third Highest Mountain in the world and second highest mountain in Nepal which is located in northeast corner of Nepal in Taplejung District along the boarder of Nepal and India. Kanchenjunga is known as "The five Treasures of Snows", which means surrounding by the fives high mountain wheres four are over than 8000m. It was first climbed on May 25, 1955 by the British Expedition Team of Joe Brown and George band.

It is protected by Kanchenjunga Conservation Area Project which is 2035 sq. Km. It was opened in 1988 for the foreign trekkers. Kanchenjunga Trekking is decorated with variety of landscape, cultures and panoramic views of himalayas including four of world five highest mountain Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga. This Area has been recongnized as one of eh 200 global eco regions by woldlife found. In this region trekkers can see wildlife including snow leopard, Himalayan Black Bear, Musk Deer, red Panda, Himalayan Bluesheep, Himalayan Tahr, and some of Himalayan Birds as Impheyan, pleasant, red billed, blue magpie and Shy Drongo etc. Kanchenjunga is not much touristic area but it is one of the best trekking destination of Nepal for foreign trekker in their Life time.
