Maha Shivaratri is the festival devoted to Lord Shiva. The Festival Is usually falls in the Month of February. People throng to the temples delicate to Lord Shiva throughout the country. They fast for the whole day and worship Lord Shiva wishing for the well-being and prosperity of themselves and their family members. A great fair is organized at the Pashupathinath Temple, Lying on the Bank of the holy Bagmati River, on this day. Nepal army also observe special military pride as the Maha Shivaratri also coincides as the Army Day.
