Banks are open between 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday. They are closed on Saturdays, Sundays along with public holidays. However ATM services will be open 24 hours in most of the places in Nepal. In order to exchnage money in government registered money changer specially in Kathmandu, Pokhara the openning timings will be 8 am to 8 pm.
Lately, the payments of any goods or service you purchase in Nepal can be paid through your credit card. Wire transfer are accepted, however it takes more time so small amount purchase is not accepted by vendors if you would like to use wire transfer.
