Spring (March-May), autumn (September-November) winter (December to February) offer the clearest views of Manaslu and the most stable camping conditions. However, each season brings its own magic:
Lamjung Rainaskot was controlled by Drabya Shah, a member of the royal dynasty, in the 15th century. He became king of this region after winning a race at Gorkha's Ligligkot, located on the other side of the small town. There are several forts near Rainaskot that were built in the 14th century, including Kalika, Koteswhar, Mahadev, Thanimai, and others. The Gurung community is the major homestay region, although the settlement also has Bhramin and Tamang tribes.
Starting from Kathmandu on private 4wd jeep you will drive about 170km approx. along the way you can do white water rafting in Trishuli River and do small detour of Bandipur as well. The scenic road will take about 5 hours approx. in order to reach our destination.
We promote leave no trace camping principles. Your visit supports local community initiatives and helps maintain the pristine environment of Rainaskot. Each camping fees contributes to local development projects.

Start your day early with a refreshing hike to the viewpoint. The morning views are breathtaking, and you can enjoy a peaceful breakfast while taking in the scenery. Visit the local museum to learn about the area's rich history. You'll see fascinating artifacts that tell stories of generations past. The area also offers multiple viewpoints - each gives you a different perspective of the mountains and valleys. Take your time exploring them all. Stop by the local school where you can see children studying and playing. It's a wonderful chance to understand the education system here. Walking through the village streets lets you experience local life up close. Witness glimpses of daily life, from women weaving traditional textiles to elderly men gathered for their daily conversations. During evening, you will see cultural dance performance. You can watch performers in traditional costumes share their heritage through movement and music.

If you're up for a challenge, trek to Dudh Kunda. This sacred lake sits above 4,000 meters - it's a tough climb but worth every step for the stunning views.
